Hae (害) — Hidden Harm

Hidden damage and fatigue in relationships — the six combinations of Hae and their effects.

"害 in Saju: The Invisible Interference" (4 posts)

No 沖, no 刑 — so why does it always feel like

someone is working against you from behind the scenes?

It may be because your Saju contains 害.

害 is the energy that blocks what was about to combine.

Jealousy, backstabbing, invisible obstruction.

Unlike 沖, it doesn't come at you head-on.

It quietly chips away at you from the shadows.

How 害 Works

Understanding how 害 is formed makes it click.

Example: 子丑 Combine is in place (子 and 丑 are a good match)

Then 未 enters the picture

→ 未 clashes with 丑 (丑未沖)

→ 未 pulls 丑 away, breaking the Combine with 子

→ 子 loses its partner and suffers the 害

This is the 子未害.

A third party snatches away your good relationship.

This is the Saju principle behind interference that comes from nowhere.

The Six Pairs and Their Natures

子未害: repaying kindness with hostility

丑午害: resentment and antagonism

寅巳害: betrayal of trust

卯辰害: suspicion and deception

申亥害: jealousy and 暗害 (dark harm) — obstruction that never surfaces

酉戌害: mutual antagonism, undermining each other

Common thread: all involve a hidden third-party intervention or

a backhanded attack from someone close.

People with 害 in their chart suffer less from open enemies

and more from the quiet interference of those around them.

Wrap-up

害 in summary:

Of 合·沖·刑·破·害, it delivers the least direct impact

But it is the most mentally draining of all

Backstage interference, jealousy, backstabbing, gossip

When 害 comes in during a major luck cycle (大運):

→ Forces working against you from behind will emerge

→ Partnerships you trusted will be dismantled by a third party

Standalone Posts

Standalone 1 — The Uniqueness of 申亥害

申亥害 is called "暗害 (dark harm)."

Obstruction that never comes to light.

申 (execution, decisiveness) and 亥 (contemplation, solitude) —

when these two meet, quiet jealousy takes root.

If you have this 害:

Every time you start something, you hit a wall for reasons you can't explain

Someone around you is jealous of you, but it never shows

It's the pair that best explains invisible interference in Saju.

Standalone 2 — Comparing 合·沖·刑·破·害

A comparison of the five major adverse interactions in Saju:

沖: Head-on collision. Sudden, large-scale events.

刑: Legal or physical pressure. Surgery, legal trouble.

破: Side fracture. Gradual damage.

害: Backstage interference. Invisible obstruction.

Intensity: 沖 > 刑 > 破 > 害

How draining it is: 害 > 破 > 刑 > 沖

沖 hits once and it's done.

害 operates quietly, continuously, invisibly.
