寅亥 and 巳申 — Both Combine and 破
寅亥 and 巳申 are also part of the Six Earthly Branch Combines (地支六合).
They attract each other and break each other at the same time.
Characteristics of this kind of relationship:
→ The bond runs deep, so you can't cut it
→ The more time you spend together, the more you damage each other
→ Dependent, repetitive conflict
That feeling of "I can't leave, but being together is exhausting" —
the Saju root cause is exactly this Combine-破 structure.

How 破 Manifests
破 does not act suddenly.
Wealth 破 → money slowly leaking away
Health 破 → chronic issues, gradual deterioration
Relationship 破 → fractures accumulate, drifting apart over time
Work 破 → a pattern of things falling apart right before completion
That last one is the key.
People with 破 in their chart often face interference at the final stage.
That feeling of 99% done collapsing at the last 1%.
